Terms and Conditions for Therapy

  • Cancellation policy: Shezre operates a 24 hour cancellation policy. Cancellations made within 24 hours of your session will incur a 100% fee. Shezre will endeavour to give as much notice as possible in terms of planned leave or the need to cancel an appointment. Appointment times or other queries can be clarified with Shezre.

  • Session information: Sessions will be conducted online via Zoom. Please ensure you are in a private space and cannot be heard for the duration of your session.

  • Fees: Sessions are 1 hour and the fee is £120 per hour. Telephone or Zoom contact with a patient or family is billed at £120 per hour, pro rata. Fees will be invoiced monthly and are payable by BACS transfer. Payment is required within 7 days.

  • Therapy contract: Shezre will provide a therapy contract at the beginning of the work which you will be required to read and sign before sessions commence. For your safety, you will need to provide your full contact details, your GP’s details and details of who to contact in case of an emergency. It is also helpful (although not compulsory) to share the details of any medications you are taking. Shezre will only contact your GP or emergency contact should she feel it is appropriate for your safety, and you will be informed when possible. If she considers it necessary, she may suggest the involvement of other professionals or the creation of care plans.

  • Eating disorders: Eating disorders are most safely treated within a multidisciplinary team. While Shezre can offer additional support, she requires patients with eating disorders to be supported by a specialist service alongside any work with her. She works alongside the specialist service and would need regular contact with them to ensure consistent and appropriate care.

  • Confidentiality: All information discussed is confidential unless Shezre is concerned that the patient or someone else is at risk of harm, in which case she would have to break confidentiality but would discuss this with the patient first when possible.

  • Data protection: Data will be protected in accordance with the Data Protection Act guidelines. Paper records of session notes will be stored in a secure and confidential storage system. Email and computer records may also be kept and this information will be password protected. If you do not want any information to be sent via email to yourself or to a professional involved in providing care, please let Shezre know.

  • Ending therapy: The right to cease sessions based on clinical judgement is reserved. When possible, this would be discussed with the patient to reach an appropriate decision together.

Shezre is a member of the Association for Family Therapy and Systemic Practice (AFT) and is registered with the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP). She holds an enhanced DBS certificate and is fully insured.
